    I hate when groups don't play their old hit songs. As cheesy as it sounds, the best concert I went to was Richard Marx last year. Granted he's kind of a has been so the tickets were cheap and the seats incredibly good but the show was awesome. He played some new stuff but mostly his old stuff, engaged the crowd, didn't have tons of thrills and lights or whatnot (actually none of that), and hardly took a break between each song. I love it!

    Ha, Richad Marx... Awesome! But yeah, the hit songs are usually what I want to hear when I go to a show. Save the new songs until they have become hits, then play them!

    Steven Tyler is still alive?! Thought that man was at least 100yrs old (him and Mick Jagger). Maybe Alzheimers has robbed them of remembering the lyrics to the old songs, thus the reason behind the sound change.

    It is a simple fact that money, or the pursuit of it, changes people. They are not the same "hungry" artists they were when they made their good stuff.

    Ha! Great post. Nice timing. I knew a guy back in school who went on to become a semi-famous singer. Back when he was unknown, he was real personable, asked me to help at one of his concerts, and I took time out to do so for free. About a month ago I found him on Facebook and wrote him a letter about my business. He didn't even bother to respond! Man, some people get really arrogant when they find success. I guess the page might be fake, but that's doubtful...

    It's annoying when musicians become annoying. :-P

    yeah, it's too bad when they forget we "little people". Third Day is a great example of how it doesn't have to be that way!
