I doubt you'd see many (if any) people in public dressed like the guy in the supermarket picture above.  But my winter "PJ's" regularly consist of baggy plaid drawstring pants and a comfy t-shirt. But with pajamas, you get the cool textures and patterns, so you want to show them off.  For example, I have some pajamas with skiing polar bears on them.  That is cool!
