I hear ya. I don't complain (even in my head) when someone takes the elevator up 1 floor; some people (even some young people) have bad knees or asthma or a number of excuses besides laziness. But when someone effects elevator traffic just to go down a single floor, I get a little annoyed.

You know, you're right about the whole "bad knee" thing. Injuries are the exception. But for anyone else, it is unnecessary!

this made me laugh. don't get me wrong, adam. it's just that i thought i was the only one who gets annoyed by this kind of situation. LOL! i have a suggestion... sneak in at your building in the middle of the night and place a note near the elevator... 2ND FLOOR PEOPLE... PLEASE TAKE THE STAIRS. LOL! that would really leave a clear message and i'm sure a lot will agree with that.
one building here in our country had a discreet way of saying it.. they placed a poster near the elevator saying TAKE THE STAIRS... IT'S GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH. LOL!
